This is Delta's third consecutive win, having won first place awards for Group B technology enterprises in 2005 and 2006. The award ceremony was held at the Grand Formosa Regent in Taipei on May 2. Mark Ko, president and chief operating officer of Delta Group, represented Delta in receiving the award.

In his acceptance speech Mark Ko said, "Bruce Cheng, the founder and chairman of Delta Group has always assumed the spirit of Corporate Social Responsibility while managing the company. We are greatly encouraged by receiving this CSR award. Delta Electronics was founded 36 years ago. The mission of Delta Group is "To provide innovative energy-saving products for a better quality of life." Delta has devoted itself to environmental protection and energy saving by raising the efficiency of its products for years. Last year, for Delta's 35th anniversary, our colleagues voted via the web to choose our slogan for the ceremony. "Care for the Environment, Energy-saving and Our Green Earth" was chosen by Delta employees. This shows how the spirit of CSR has become part of our employees' mindset." Mr. Ko also gave an example of how Delta's power supply products have contributed to saving 40 billion degrees of electric power in 3 years. The audience and guests showed their approval with a big round of applause.

The "2007 Third Annual Global Views Magazine CSR Award" based its evaluation on a CSR index of 20 items and the design of the questionnaire referred to the" OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises" and other international guidelines. The survey contains sections on shareholders equity, employment and human rights, supplier management, consumer interests, environmental protection, community relations, information disclosure, and stakeholders' communications. The founder of Global Views Magazine, Mr. Kao said that he finds the more attention a company pays to CSR, the higher performance a company achieves in running its business. Professor Sun, the chief judge and a renowned professor at National Taiwan University provided a definition of what CSR means by saying, "Good ethics is good business; good ethics is also a good investment. What a company does for CSR is appreciated by everyone."
