FAQs on PLC Hardware Specifications (Q1~Q9)

Q1: How can I expand the I/O points on the PLC?
A: You can do so by adding more I/O extension modules. EX/SS supports up to 238 points, SC/SA 236 points, SX 230 points, ES 256 points, and EH/SV 512 points.

Q2: Does every one of the 4 channels on 20EX have both voltage input and current input?
A: Yes, all 4 channels have both voltage input and current input.

Q3: Which analog module has bipolar output?
A: Only DVP-10SX.

Q4: Which Delta PLC can output differential signals?
A: DVP32EH00M. In addition, DVP-20PM not only outputs differential signals but also supports MPG input.

Q5: Which Delta PLC supports A/B phase output?
A: DVP-EH/SA/SC/SX/20PM series PLC.

Q6: Any limitations on the bandwidth of SC series PLC?
A: The total bandwidth of SC pulse output + counter is 130KHz. In the 2-axis synchronous pulse output for firmware V1.2 and V1.4, the maximum bandwidth for Y10 is 60K and the bandwidth of Y11 (max. 40K) has to be lower than Y10. Therefore, the bandwidth for the counter is the 30K left. The bandwidth of X10 and X11 counter will not be affected, with a maximum single bandwidth of 100K and total 130K.

Q7: Which Delta PLC supports 200KHz pulse output?
A: EH (20, 32 points), EH2 (20, 32, 40 points) and SV.

Q8: What is the model name of the communication cable for the connection between Delta PLC and my PC?
A: DVPACAB2A30. See the PIN definition below.

Q9: Which types of networks does Delta network-type PLC support?
A: Delta currently offers DeviceNet master/slave module, gateway, Ethernet module, Profibus slave module, CANopen master module and gateway, and the number is increasing.
