Application: LED Testing Machine
 
 

¡½ Foreword
LED was born in the 60s, from red LED, green LED to the latest blue LED featuring power-saving, fast witching, long life and energy-saving. At present, LED is largely applied in indicating functions, e.g. outdoor display board, traffic lights and surface lighting, etc. High-grade mobile phones gradually adopting LED as back light gives LED a new application field -- as back light for flat panel display. It is expected that the production value of LED in the market will soar in the future.

¡½ The System
In the following application example, we take Delta's DOP series 5.7-inch color human machine interface, DVP32EH high-speed accurate positioning PLC, ASDA-A series 400W servo drive and motor. DVP-EH series PLC has 2 groups of 200KHz high-speed pulse output instructions, which can accurately and quickly arrive at the position above the LED to be tested. The pneumatic cylinder drops to test the machine, and the input voltage lightens the LED. CCD comes next to inspect the status of lightened LED.

The test area and path can be set up by the user, and the database can be established by the recipe in the human machine interface. The path in red is the first test area and blue path the second. Maximum 3 test areas are available. The sample point and first point move by position teaching, which is very convenient.

The user can enter the type of LED and test range into the database of the human machine. Maximum 99 data of the LED board can be saved in the database. When you change the type of LED to be tested and the test range, you only need to select the product name and download the test range and path to the PLC from human machine interface.

•  Conclusion

Your machine may adopt oil pump which cannot conduct fast and accurate movement due to the variation of the oil pressure. In addition, you will need to print out many different kinds of tables, and when you change the LED board to be tested, you will also have to enter the data, which is very inefficient. However, Delta's AC servo system is able to solve the slow and inaccurate moving problems and shorten the testing time on the LED, increasing the number of products to be tested. What is more, Delta's human machine interface allows you to select the data code entered by the original designer when switching the LED board to be tested, which also shortens the time spent on artificial input.
