Applications of Deltaˇ¦s VFD-MZ Series AC Motor Drive in Treadmill

Delta's VFD-MZ series exclusively designed for treadmills features:

1. Wider ranges of the carrier frequency: A quiet treadmill is necessary to be used indoors. The max. carrier frequency of Delta's VFD-MZ series can be up to 16kHz to lower the noise generated by the motor to provide a nice environment for the exerciser.

2. SPWM control (sensorless vector control): For Delta's VFD-MZ series, the efficiency of asynchronous motor at low speeds can compare with the DC motor. In terms of low speeds, it provides 150% output torque at 5Hz.

3. Lower level of the momentary low voltage: Delta's VFD-MZ series has a new parameter, level setting of the low voltage, for the unexpected speed setting and user's weight. The level of the low voltage can be set by the requirement to decrease the possibility of machine stop resulted from the sudden load.

4. Standard RS-485 communication interface: It provides easier adjustment and operation processes with the standard RS-485 communication interface. The parameters were manually set for the past AC motor drives but it only needs to execute the parameters downloaded by the RS-485.

5. External fault (EF) signal can be received by the external terminals under RS-485 communication: When the controller runs abnormally, user can stop Delta's VFD-MZ series and the motor can free run to stop to decrease the possibility of personal injury.

Delta's VFD-MZ series exclusively designed for treadmills overcomes the weakness of the general treadmill to be a popular drive.
