Delta recently launched the new FOC AC motor drive – VFD-VE series. The 230V type includes 12 models with power ranging from 0.75 to 37kW (1 ~ 50HP) and the 460V type includes 15 models with power ranging from 0.75 to 75kW (1 ~ 100HP). In terms of SPWM control methods, the user can choose from V/f control, vector control or torque control. The start torque is able to reach 150% and above at 0.5Hz. Compared to the previous VFD-V series generation, in terms of hardware design, VE series is equipped with new control panel and keypad and in terms of software design, the performance of VE series is greatly enhanced, e.g. adopting more tension control systems, more stable zero-speed operation and homing, better acceleration/deceleration, better PDFF control and the enhanced PTC function. Besides, working with monitoring software, VFD-VE series will make the auto-tuning of the motor drive handier for the user. The new PG card attached can also more effectively improve the processing of signals. Therefore, VFD-VE series is of great competitive advantages among wide-range motors, e.g. high-speed spindle motor, high-speed engraving machine, PCB driller, auto DC braking, mechanical brake control, CNC drilling/milling machine, grinding/engraving processor, and printing machine.
