FAQs on PLC Hardware Specifications

Q10: Can the left-side extension modules for SV be connected to other slim type PLCs?
A: Currently only SV series PLC supports left-side extension. Left-side and right-side extensions differ completely in their hardware design. Therefore, the left-side extension can only be applied to SV.

Q11: Can the DVP01PU-H realize arc interpolation?
A: DVP01PU does not support interpolation but it does support constant speed, variable speed and interruption speed. If you need arc interpolation, please select DVP28SV or DVP-EH2.

Q12: Which register Device No. is for analog output of DVP-10SX? What is the resolution?
A:

Device No.

D1057
Present value at analog input channel CH1
D1110

The resolution is 12 bits; I/O range: -20 ~ 20mA/-10 ~ 10V

Q13: What are the interruption subroutines in a Delta PLC?
A:
1. External input interruption: Designating any external input point, and the interruption subroutine will be triggered when the input is enabled.
2. Timed interruption: Designating time to trigger interruption.
3. Communication interruption: Using RS instruction to receive particular words for triggering interruption.
4. High-speed counter interruption: Using HSCS instruction to trigger interruption.
5. Pulse output interruption: Designating pulse output points to trigger interruption when the pulse output is enabled.

Q14: What are the differences between DVP-EH2 and DVP-EH? Can they share the same extension modules?
A: DVP-EH2 is very different from DVP-EH in terms of their hardware. DVP-EH2 spends shorter time in communicating with the extension module than does DVP-EH, and its efficiency is higher (approx. 1ms is needed for the communication). DVP-EH and DVP-EH2 cannot share extension modules because of the difference in hardware.

Q15: Bandwidth of I/O points for all PLC models:
