Application of Delta's VFD-VE in Printing Machine:
The transmission system of gravure printing machine is made up of 7 VFD-VE AC motor drives used to control motors. The whole printing processes are unwinder a infeed pinch roller a master drives gravure printing wheel a outfeed pinch roller a rewinder. The unwinders and pitch rollers are controlled by the tension closed-loop control. The master frequency can be set by HMI. After PLC sends command to AC motor drive via analog output or communication, the pinch roller will get the final operation frequency by PLC line speed/closed-loop tension and the AC motor drive 's calculation to reach synchronous control. The unwinder and rewinder AC motor drive will auto calculate the reel diameter by line speed. In this way, the operation frequency of the unwinder/rewinder AC motor drive can be calculated by the changes of the reel diameter and tension feedback signal.
