Fast transmission speed (10/100Mbps), easy wiring, low cost, no distance limitation and being popular among users are the reasons why Ethernet is so widespread nowadays. Delta's Ethernet module DVPEN01-SL supports Modbus TCP communication protocol, 10/100Mbps transmission speed, e-mail alarm and automatic data exchange among many modules.

The application case below is a monitoring system in which a remote machine room monitors the temperature and humidity of many factory sites. The distance between two sites is 200m . In order to achieve better transmission speed and quality, we therefore adopt Ethernet as the transmission interface. The temperature sensor and humidity sensor convert the temperature and humidity into 0 ~ 20mA signals. Therefore, DVP04DA analog module is also used in this system as well.
